Every year TechnoLawyer announces this set of awards, and I enjoyed reading the TechnoLawyer Top Products Awards of 2020.

Before you click, understand the methodology here is a bit different. Products are featured in TechnoLawyer and the votes are the clicks on links from the TechnoLawyer subscribers. So, the products are limited to those featured in TechnoLawyer and it is definitely a plebiscite, or popularity contest. In addition, there is probably some impact from those vendors who heavily promoted their original TechnoLawyer feature to potential customers via email lists and those who don’t.

But these comments are for disclosure, not criticism. This is an informative feature, especially for those of you who are interested in the range of different products available for law offices.

The most interesting thing about this year’s collection is that it spans seven different categories of products and covers a wide range of tools as you can see from the chart below.

This is certainly an interesting read and you may learn of legal technology products or whole classes of products you were unfamiliar with.
