Leadership Academy
Oklahoma Bar Association Leadership Academy
The ninth class of the OBA Leadership Academy will begin in January 2026.
Originating from the OBA’s Leadership Conference in 2007, the focus of the OBA Leadership Academy is to equip participants with the skills and network connections to become leaders within the bar as well as our local communities. Participants learn about OBA governance, special considerations for attorneys in public service, networking skills, effective communication and attend the Annual Meeting.
Requirements for applicants are as follows:
- Must be a member in good standing with the Oklahoma Bar Association
- Must be able to attend all events
- All attorneys may apply but preference will be given to those who are members of the OBA Young Lawyers Division
- Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to the profession and community impact
2026 Session Schedule
Participants are expected to attend each of the sessions, evening activities and the graduation ceremony in their entirety. All events will occur in Oklahoma City unless designated below. Event dates are as follows:
- Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026
- Day Session: 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Evening Event: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Friday Jan. 16, 2026
- Day Session: 9 a.m. – noon
- Thursday, March 5, 2026
- Day Session: 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Evening Event: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Friday, March 6, 2026
- Day Session: 9 a.m. – noon
- Thursday, April 30, 2026
- Day Session: 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Evening Event: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Friday, May 1, 2026
- Day Session 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026
- Day Session: 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Evening Event: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Friday, Sept. 18, 2026
- Day Session: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
