Legal Internship Committee Regulation 3(b) Amendment

May 15, 2023

By Trent Baggett, Chair

During the April 10, 2023, Legal Internship Committee meeting the committee amended Regulation 3(b). The change will more evenly space the Licensed Legal Intern Exam dates to reduce wait times for those who need to retake the exam or apply late. All present voted in favor of the proposed amendments with none opposed.

(A) Uniformity of Examination Dates

  1. The Legal Internship Examination shall be administered in five (5) scheduled examination cycles annually by each of the Colleges of Law as follows:
  • (a) No later than the end of the second week in which classes are held in the fall semester at the particular College of Law. (Revised December 15, 2020)

  • (b) No later than the end of the first second full week of November October. (Revised December 15, 2020 April 10, 2023)

  • (c) No later than the end of the second full week in which classes are held in the spring semester at the particular College of Law. (Revised December 15, 2020)

  • (d) No later than the end of the first second full week of April March. (Revised December 15, 2020 April 10, 2023)

  • (e) Either one (1) week before the start of the College of Law’s summer term or at the end of the first week in which classes are held in the College of Law’s summer term. (Revised December 15, 2020)
