REPORT OF THE VICE PRESIDENT Vice President Bracken reported by email he attended the Oklahoma Bar Foundation board meeting, the OBF Developmental Committee meeting, and he spoke with various attorneys about the upcoming OBF 80th anniversary gala. He also worked on details for the OBA Heroes Day event planned for Nov. 11. REPORT OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Executive Director Johnson reported she met with PresidentElect Knott and staff to discuss the 2027 CLE budget, attended the May YLD meeting, attended the CLE Movie Night, attended the Legal Desert Task Force meeting, met with the OBA’s strategic planning consultant to work on next steps for lifecycle methodology analysis, met with the Tennessee State Bar executive director to discuss member benefits, attended the CLE Task Force meeting, met with Vice Chief Justice Kuehn to discuss potential CLE programming, worked on 50-year anniversary pinning logistics, attended the Western States Bar Association monthly meeting of executive directors, attended the Oklahoma Bar Journal Board of Editors dinner and its June meeting, met with staff regarding the status of association management software upgrades, met with representatives from Clio to discuss new member benefit offerings, worked on the Midyear Conference attendee questionnaire with the OBA MAP and CLE departments, and she met with architectural team on survey status and upcoming roadmaps. REPORT OF THE PAST PRESIDENT Past President Williams reported he reviewed the virtual meeting of the Legal Desert Task Force and attended the virtual meeting of the Legal Desert Task Force Retention and Practice Support Subcommittee. He reviewed and approved outside legal counsel invoices regarding pending litigation and attended the Executive Committee meeting. BOARD MEMBER REPORTS Governor Aspan reported she attended the Tulsa County Bar Association Board of Directors meeting, the OBA Legal Desert Task Force meeting, the May Professional Responsibility Commission meeting, and she responded to multiple emailed employment law questions received on Law Day per President Peckio’s request for volunteers. Governor Barker reported he attended the Legal Desert Task Force meeting, and he contacted assigned county bar associations regarding OBA Award nominations. Governor Cooper reported he worked on Oklahoma County Bar Association matters and Bar Center Facilities Committee matters with the architectural team. He reports site observation related to planned renovation projects is underway at the Bar Center. Governor Jones reported he attended the Legal Desert Task Force meeting as well as its Retention and Practice Support Subcommittee meeting, and he spoke with several local attorneys and non-attorneys regarding these issues. He also President Amber Peckio and President-Elect Jana Knott presented an update from the working group formed to evaluate underperforming committees to see if they should be consolidated or sunsetted.
