Big Changes Ahead for OBA CLE: We Listened, and We're Delivering

Over the past year, the CLE Department has been listening closely to our members. We're excited to share two changes that reflect that feedback, along with a straightforward update on pricing.
LIVE CHAT IS COMING TO LIVE WEBCASTS
One of the most consistent requests we've heard from members is the ability to interact during live webcast programming: to ask questions in real time, get quick clarifications from speakers, and engage with the material as it's happening, rather than after the fact.
We heard you. Starting Sept. 15, live chat will be available for all live webcast CLE programs. This feature will let attendees submit questions and comments directly during the presentation, giving speakers the chance to address them live and giving attendees a more dynamic, engaged learning experience, even from behind a screen.
This has been one of the top items on our members' wish list, and we're proud to say it's no longer a request. It's a rollout date.
A NEW COLLABORATION EXPANDS WHAT'S AVAILABLE TO YOU
We're also pleased to announce a new collaboration with Berkeley Law School that will give OBA members access to a broader library of CLE programming beyond what our department produces in-house. This means more variety, more perspectives, and more flexibility in how members meet their continuing education requirements. Whether you're looking to fill a gap in a specific practice area or simply want access to programming from a different institutional voice, this collaboration opens new options without requiring you to look outside your OBA membership to find them. Berkeley Law programming will be released on Sept. 15, the same day live chat launches, and will be accessible directly through our CLE catalog. We wanted our members to know this is coming and that it's a direct result of our effort to expand the value of CLE membership.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR PRICING
We know that any conversation about new features naturally raises a question: what will it cost? We want to be transparent. With these enhancements, including the technology investment behind live chat and the added access through our new collaborator, members can expect program costs to increase by an average of $10 per program.
We don't take pricing changes lightly, and we've worked to keep this increase modest and proportionate to the value being added. Our goal has always been to make sure every dollar spent on CLE with the OBA translates into a better, more useful experience – not just more content, but content and tools that meet the way our members want to learn.
These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to providing practical, high-quality CLE to meet the needs of Oklahoma lawyers, and I encourage you to reach out to me with any questions you may have. We look forward to bringing even more improvements to strengthen the value of your OBA CLE experience, and we are excited to offer you an enhanced CLE experience this fall.
