She practices primarily in the areas of family law, guardianship, and trust and estate litigation. She received her J.D. with highest honors from the TU College of Law, where she served as the symposium editor for the Tulsa Law Review. In addition, she interned with a local private equity firm and the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. She also served as an extern for Oral Roberts University Athletics and participated in the Buck Colbert Franklin Legal Clinic, providing pro bono legal assistance to individuals in north Tulsa with domestic and property law issues. Prior to joining Hall Estill, Ms. Eklund was a family law associate at a major Tulsa law firm. Benton Wheatley has joined the Austin office of Maynard Nexsen as a shareholder in its construction practice. Mr. Wheatley practice focuses on construction and engineering disputes and transactions, fiduciary responsibilities in private equity investments in the construction process and advising REITs and private equity firms on purchaser rights, in relation to problem construction projects. He received his J.D. from the OU College of Law. He regularly handles complex matters involving delay and impact claims, defective design and construction disputes, differing site conditions, fiduciary duty issues and project workouts through mediation, litigation and arbitration. He also advises clients on mitigating risk in passive limited partnership investments related to construction projects and engineering contracts. Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Mr. Wheatley was a partner at an international fullservice law firm, where he managed a broad range of sophisticated disputes and transactions. Earlier in his career, he served as assistant general counsel for a large international architectural and engineering firm, advising on project delivery issues across all 50 U.S. states, as well as in Mexico, Venezuela, Bolivia, Brazil and Argentina. Kelly Kinser and Kimberly Marchant have launched Kinser Marchant PLLC, a women-owned business law firm based in Oklahoma City. Their experience includes the areas of employment, corporate governance, real estate, commercial contracts and transactional services. Kinser Marchant serves clients across a variety of industries and works with business owners at all stages of growth, from formation through expansion and transition. The firm is based in Oklahoma City and is now accepting new clients. Ryan Silva has joined the law firm of Pray Walker in its litigation practice. He serves as a litigation associate attorney, focusing his practice on litigation and insurance law. Mr. Silva received his J.D. from the TU College of Law, where he served as an articles editor for the Tulsa Law Review and was selected as lead brief writer for the Health Law Moot Court, competing in national competitions focused on healthcare law and appellate advocacy. During law school, Mr. Silva received five CALI Awards, honors recognizing the highest grade in a course and was named to the faculty honor roll each semester. He was also recognized with the George and Jean Price Award for Outstanding Legal Writing Students, honoring his performance in legal writing, analysis, and reasoning. Chancy T. Schaaf has joined the Tulsa law firm of Gladd, Maguire, Allen Brown & Wakeman as an associate. She practices civil litigation. She received her J.D. with highest honors from the TU College of Law in 2025. In law school, she was awarded the CALI Award for water law and served as an executive editor for the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy and Resources Year-In-Review publication. She was subsequently awarded the Energy Law Journal’s Outstanding ABA YIR Award for her contributions. Additionally, Ms. Schaaf was chosen from a competitive pool of candidates to serve as a fellow in the Rural Summer Legal Corps with the Legal Services Corporation. She was stationed in the Rio Grande Valley where she provided free legal services to the community for 10 weeks. Robin M. Meyer has joined the Oklahoma City office McAfee & Taft, where she focuses her practice on all facets of technology law and transactions, including cybersecurity, AI governance, data privacy, digital responsibility, technology products and services, vendor management and government procurement.
