TU COLLEGE OF LAW AND OBA CLE RECOGNIZED FOR COLLABORATIVE PROGRAM The TU College of Law and the OBA CLE Department were recently jointly recognized with the Circle of Excellence Gold Award in the One-Day Special Events category from the Council for Advancement and Support Education (CASE). This award was presented to the groups for their collaboration on the program, “The Digital Edge: Business, Tax, and Legacy Strategies Summit.” The purpose of this event was to engage high-capacity alumni and professional advisors. “This award reflects what’s possible when a bar association and a university align their strengths,” said Gigi McCormick, director of legal education programs for the OBA. “TU brought the academic rigor and alumni network; OBA brought statewide reach and CLE infrastructure. The result was a program that gave practicing attorneys and other professionals real value while opening doors for TU that a traditional advancement event never could.” The awards committee received more than 4,185 entries from members in 33 countries. Circle of Excellence Awards recognize “exceptional achievement in advancement services, alumni relations, communications, fundraising, and marketing.” REBEKAH TAYLOR APPOINTED SPECIAL JUDGE OU College of Law Professor Rebekah C.
