REPORT OF THE PRESIDENT President Peckio reported she reviewed new federal correspondence and pleadings related to new litigation, attended the first meeting of the Legal Desert Task Force, met with a 1L student from the OCU School of Law along with Executive Director Johnson related to rural practice opportunities, worked on her article for the April issue of the Oklahoma Bar Journal, attended the Chief Justice Colloquium on Civility and Ethics, met with the executive team and general counsel regarding the Department of Justice proposed CFR on federal attorneys and discipline, met with the Law Schools Committee vice chair, attended the Western States Bar Conference, and she reviewed a brief related to ongoing litigation and approved an invoice for outside counsel. REPORT OF THE PRESIDENT-ELECT President-Elect Knott reported she chaired the first meeting of the OBA Legal Desert Task Force, reviewed the Department of Justice proposed CFR on federal attorneys and conferred with the Executive Committee regarding the same, attended the Western States Bar Conference, reviewed an appellate briefing of pending litigation and outside counsel billing, presented a CLE during the Canadian County Bar Association March meeting, virtually attended the OBF Court Grant Committee meeting, attended an OAMIC board meeting, attended the Bar Leadership Institute in Chicago, and she attended the joint reception with the Bryan County Bar Association. REPORT OF THE VICE PRESIDENT Vice President Bracken reported he attended OBA Law Day and the Military Assistance Committee meetings, worked with bar members and staff regarding planning for OBA Heroes Day, attended the Legal Desert Task Force meeting, spoke with the Tulsa County Bar Association Board of Directors about future plans for the OBA, met with the Executive Committee to discuss various OBA-related issues, attended the OCU School of Law Alumni Association Awards Gala, attended the Oklahoma County Bar Association Bench & Bar Conference, and he attended the joint reception with the Bryan County Bar Association. REPORT OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Executive Director Johnson reported she attended the Bar Leadership Institute and National Association of Bar Executives conference in Chicago, attended the first meeting of the Legal Desert Task Force, met with a 1L student from OCU School of Law along with President Peckio regarding rural practice opportunities, met with Phillips Murrah regarding the law firm’s sponsorship of speaker Herb Rubenstein’s presentation at the OBA Midyear Conference, worked on her article for the April issue of the Oklahoma Bar Journal, attended the Chief Justice Colloquium on Civility and Ethics, met with the executive team and general counsel regarding a proposed Department of Justice regulation related to discipline, met with the three Oklahoma law school deans regarding the current state of the Law Schools Committee, attended the Western States Bar Conference, continued monitoring proposed legislation affecting the administration of justice, met with the Civil Procedure and Evidence Code Committee chair and attended the committee’s April meeting, reviewed an appellate brief related to pending litigation, and she attended the joint reception with the Bryan County Bar Association. REPORT OF THE IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT Past President Williams reported he virtually attended the first meeting of the OBA Legal Desert Task Force, began research for potential mentors for counties identified as legal deserts, sponsored a hole for the Tulsa County Bar Foundation charitable golf tournament, reviewed the Department of Justice proposed CFR on federal attorneys and conferred with the Executive Committee regarding the same, attended the Western Meeting Summaries
