This article will provide a detailed breakdown of the transfer statute to assist practitioners in guiding their clients through what would otherwise be a murky and perilous gray area in the law. THE TRANSFER STATUTE The Transfer Procedure: Basics The transfer statute outlines a straightforward procedure for transferring ownership of a medical marijuana business, and the bulk of this procedure is outlined in Subsection B of the transfer statute.
