I am excited to welcome you to the first OBA Midyear Conference, held at the beautiful OKANA Resort in downtown Oklahoma City! For many years, we held the OBA Solo & Small Firm Conference during the summer, and it was one of the most anticipated OBA events of the year. However, as our membership grows and evolves, we adjust our focus. The new OBA Midyear Conference will include meaningful sessions for every lawyer, while also still highlighting issues that are distinctive to Oklahoma’s solo and small firm lawyers. It will also still be family friendly and held in a relaxed and casual atmosphere that we know our members love.

This year’s conference offers a thoughtful mix of CLE sessions on practice management, using AI in your practice, ethics, substantive law updates and everything in between. Whether you’re trying to figure out how to maximize your office technology efficiency or learn more about your specific practice area, there is something for every lawyer.

Throughout the conference, you’ll hear from many insightful speakers that will give you practical tools and help you sharpen your skills. I hope you leave with ideas, new friends and resources that will benefit your work long after the sessions wrap up.

We are thrilled to once again be meeting at the OKANA Resort in the Oklahoma City Horizons District. This beautiful, family-friendly resort offers plenty for our members and lots of fun for those who want to bring their families.

Attend a wide range of law practice management CLE sessions, where we'll focus on tools for and frequent challenges encountered by small firm lawyers.

During this conference, you can earn 12 hours of MCLE credit, including up to 2 hours of ethics for Oklahoma. The conference is worth 8.5 general and 1.5 ethics for Texas.

OKANA Resort has a lot of fun to offer the whole family! Celebrate summer at their indoor waterpark, take a short retreat at the day spa, get your thrills playing laser tag, or visit to the First Americans Museum just next door. The resort also offers several excellent dining and shopping options.

CONFERENCE RATES

Attorney registration:

Before May 15: $400
After May 15: $450

Guest and child registration:

Adult guest registration: $300
Child registration: $200
Guest or child evening social events only: $100

REGISTRATION

Attorney registration includes:

12 hours of MCLE credit, including up to two hours of ethics.
Breakfast Thursday and Friday
Lunch Thursday and Friday
Evening reception on Wednesday and Thursday

Guest and child registration includes:

Adult guest registration: meals and evening social events
Child registration: meals and evening social events
Guest or child evening social events only: does not include meals

CANCELLATION

A $50 cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations after May 15.

No refunds after May 22.

All guests who book their room at the OKANA Resort under the OBA room block will receive four waterpark passes included with their stay. Room block information will be announced soon!

Please note that the OKANA Resort is a cashless facility, and wristbands will be used. Cash-to-credit ATMs are available on-site.
