The OBA Annual Meeting is the opportunity for our members to enjoy great CLE, events and hospitality while networking with friends and colleagues and conducting the important business of our professional association. I hope you are making plans to attend this year’s event on Nov. 2-4. For the first time, it will be held at the new convention center in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. We also have a virtual attendance option for many of the events.
The theme of this year’s meeting is “One State★Many Nations.” We will provide CLE focused on topics of concern to every lawyer in Oklahoma, with special emphasis on sovereignty issues in the wake of the McGirt ruling. You will have the opportunity to get all your MCLE credits for the year, including two hours of ethics, during this three-day event.
As has been our long-standing custom, we will honor our 2022 OBA Award winners during Thursday’s Annual Luncheon, and Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. of the Cherokee Nation will provide the keynote address. Thursday night, the OBA Diversity Committee will host its annual awards dinner. The Delegates Breakfast, taking place Friday morning, will feature Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Dwight W. Birdwell as the speaker. Afterward, we’ll conduct the important business of our association, including the election of officers, during General Assembly and House of Delegates meetings.
Registration is open now. I am looking forward to seeing you in Oklahoma City this November!
