Hatton W. Sumners: Foundations of Democracy - LRE Basic 101 Summer Institute: The Foundations of Democracy Program provides supplemental materials and training to convey the fundamental concepts of American Government to PK-12 students. The four components covered in this program are Authority, Privacy, Responsibility, and Justice.

PROS (Peaceful Resolution for Oklahoma Students): This school-based peer mediation program encourages young people to resolve conflicts in a positive and constructive manner.

Civitas: An International Exchange Program: Partnership program between domestic organizations and international groups primarily from emerging democracies.

Law School for Legislators: Orientation for new legislators on topics in the law and legislative process

Lawyers in the Classroom: Program provides attorneys to Oklahoma schools as guest presenters on law-related topics. Includes speakers for INFORM (Information Now for Oklahomans Rejecting Meth).

Representative Democracy in America: Program founded by the Alliance for Representative Democracy. Resources developed to teach students the meaning of democracy, how representatice democracy works, and how they can become involved.

PACE (Programs Advancing Citizenship Education): Annual institute for educators on topics in citizenship education.

Supreme Court School and Teacher of the Year Awards: Honoring outstanding Oklahoma teachers and schools in promoting citizenship skills.

We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution: Civic education curriculum focusing on the foundations of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, their development over time, and the role of citizens. Culminating activity is a simulated congressional hearing.

We the People: Project Citizen: Portfolio-based civic education curriculum designed to involve students in public policymaking.

Youth for Justice: Supports and develops programs to promote active learning about the law among youth, especially those designed to address the risks and choices youth of today face.
