The objective of the Professional Responsibility Panel is to alleviate unethical campaign practices in Oklahoma. The panel has been given the responsibility to deal promptly and efficiently with allegations of ethical misconduct in campaigns for judicial office. A written complaint, which must be signed and verified, can be sent to the panel during the course of a campaign for judicial office indicating a violation of any provision of Canon 5 that governs judicial conduct. The
panel is made up of three members appointed by the
Oklahoma Bar Association Board of Governors. The panel consists
of an OBA member who has been a member in good standing for at
least 25 years, a member of the Judicial Ethics Advisory Panel
and one lay person.
