Judge Robert Dick Bell

Judge Robert Dick Bell was born in Norman, on May 11, 1967 to Bobby
and Jaynee Bell. He married Carolyn Johnson, and they have two children
- Bradleigh Jewel and Adelaide Jane.
Bell attended and graduated from the Norman Public School system.
He received his B.A. (1989) from the University of Oklahoma and
J.D. (1992) from the University of Tulsa College of Law. In law
school, he was presented the award for distinguished service
to the House of Delegates for recognition of being elected to
office all three years of school.
Judge Bell was engaged in private practice for 13 years in Norman.
During the same time he was in private practice, he was a Municipal
Judge for the cities of Moore, Purcell, Blanchard, Noble and Broken
Arrow.
Appointed to the bench in 1994 at age 27, Judge Bell was the youngest
sitting judge of any kind in the state of Oklahoma. He has served
as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Oklahoma College
of Law since 1998. In June 2005, he was appointed as a judge
on the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals.
Bell is an admitted member of the Oklahoma,
as well as the District of Columbia Bar Association. He is a member
of Christ the King Church in Oklahoma City. |
