These rounds are scheduled for today in Tulsa at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and Feb. 23 in Oklahoma City at the U.S. Western District Federal Courthouse. Mortgage Foreclosure Seminar To Help Oklahoma Lawyers Provide Free Legal Service
Mortgage foreclosure is a national epidemic, and Oklahoma is not immune with low-income and senior citizens as frequent victims, who often can't afford legal representation to save their homes. To help vulnerable Oklahomans with this problem, the Oklahoma Bar Association, in partnership with its House Counsel Section and Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma Inc., is offering lawyers this Friday [Feb. 19, 2010] a free seminar on "Defending Foreclosures in Oklahoma." Supreme Court Teacher, School Of The Year Award Winners Announced
The Oklahoma Supreme Court will award Muskogee's Ben Franklin Science Academy's 6th through 8th grade United States history, geography and world culture teacher Diane Walker as the 2010 Supreme Court Teacher of the Year and Thoreau Demonstration Academy in Tulsa as the 2010 Supreme Court School of the Year at a ceremony Feb. 25 at 1:30 p.m. in the Supreme Court Courtroom at the State Capitol building.
