Two Oklahoma Bar Association members
have been selected for induction into the Oklahoma
Hall of Fame. V.
Burns Hargis and Steven W. Taylor join five
other Oklahomans as the class of 2009, scheduled
for induction Nov. 12th.
Mr. Hargis currently serves as the president
of Oklahoma State University,
and is a former president of the Oklahoma
Bar Foundation and
Oklahoma County Bar Association.
Justice Taylor serves as vice-chief
justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court and has served on the court
since 2004. He is the former mayor of McAlester
and is a member of the
OSU
Hall of Fame.
Both men received their undergraduate degrees from
Oklahoma State University and law degrees from the
University of Oklahoma.
