My Land

I live in a land built upon the beliefs of our forefathers,
upon beliefs that stand for freedom and equality,
upon the belief of Democracy.

I live in a land of freedom,
where tyranny will not stand,
and justice prevails.

I live in a land of democracy,
where the people rule.

I live in a land of opportunity,
where I am empowered to choose my own destiny.

I live in a land of chance
where every voice is heard,
and every person has an equal opportunity.

I live in the land of America
where I choose the freedoms I use.

In this land that I live,
Democracy stands for the people,
for we choose the leaders
and the leaders choose for us
