| September 17, 2004 was a red letter day in Oklahoma Bar Association history. It marked the 100th anniversary of the consolidation of two territory bar associations on September 17, 1904 under the name of Bar Association of Oklahoma and Indian Territory. The name has changed several times over the years - to Oklahoma State Bar Association in 1908, State Bar of Oklahoma in 1930 and Oklahoma Bar Association in 1940 - but its mission to serve members of the bar has remained the same.
A year-long series of events was held to commemorate this significant milestone.
