Six Attorney Practice Management Tools Added as OBA Member Benefits
Six new member benefits to help Oklahoma lawyers better manage their practices have been announced by the Oklahoma Bar Association. Members who sign up for new subscriptions will receive discounts to Clio, CosmoLex, MyCase, PracticePanther, Rocket Matter or Zola Suite, all cloud-based practice management services for law firms.

Diversity Awards: Nominations Due Tuesday, July 31
The Diversity Committee is now accepting nominations for the Ada Lois Sipuel Fisher Diversity Awards. The awards categories are: members of the judiciary, licensed attorneys and groups and entities that have championed the cause of diversity. All nominations must be received by Tuesday, July 31.

OBA Awards: Nominate Someone Who Deserves to be Honored
To some of you, spring may bring to mind images of shamrocks, leprechauns, pastel colored eggs and chocolate bunnies. For others, spring may mean breaks from school and family vacations. In my mind, spring represents the beginning of the OBA Awards Committee’s work for the year. It is the time when we plan our year as a committee and begin to publicize the nominations process.

Supreme Court Approves New 'Retired Member' Classification as a Membership Option
The greying of the legal profession has been forecast for many years, and the reality has arrived -- fewer new lawyers entering the profession and the majority of OBA members over the age of 50. On Dec. 5 the Oklahoma Supreme Court approved the creation of a new Retired Member classification, which was overwhelming approved by the OBA House of Delegates at the November OBA Annual Meeting.
