The Oklahoma Bar Association Insurance Section held a spring meeting on May 7, 2007, at the Golf Club of Oklahoma, Broken Arrow. The meeting consisted of three hours of CLE, which included Rex Travis speaking on recent developments on Oklahoma insurance law; and Kelly Deer and Thomas Finley, speaking on construction law bond claims and surety indemnity agreements. The 28 section members who attended the meeting then enjoyed lunch, however, the golf tournament was canceled due to rain. Fortunately all members in attendance received rain checks from the Golf Club of Oklahoma.

Due to the chairperson’s training with the National Guard in preparation for deployment to Iraq, a fall meeting was not held. Elections for new officers will be conducted via e-mail, and the section will begin next year with adequate funding.
