The House Counsel Section has a membership of approximately 120 section members with the membership dues remaining at $10 per year.

In 2006, the section hosted a House Counsel Section reception at the OBA annual convention. The turn out was minimal, but the conversations outstanding and stimulating. I would highly encourage all members to become more active in this section.

This is my last year as chairman. I have other matters demanding my time and attention. Thank you for allowing me to serve as your chairman for almost a decade, in which time you, the section, accomplished some impressive tasks contributing to Oklahoma history and jurisprudence.

The section needs a strong leader and volunteers to work on a monthly newsletter. I hope many of you will undertake those, sometimes unappreciated but noble tasks. Those interested in participating should contact the OBA.
