2007 General Practice/Solo and Small Firm Section Report

The OBA General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section is the first and only OBA section created specifically to help solo and small firm practitioners succeed and prosper. It also seeks to help those members of the profession who are in a general practice setting. It is hoped that as a group lawyers similarly situated can aid each other to become better lawyers.

The section causes links to important Web sites to be sent to its members on a regular basis. Thanks go to the MAPS program of the OBA for helping us with this project.

Again the section will sponsor a meeting during the OBA Annual Meeting with a speaker on an important area for our members.

The section is continuing to seek out members to serve in leadership roles. Anyone with such an interest should contact an officer of the section.

The section continues to strive to meet the needs of its members. There continues to be a need for new membership and leadership to make this section more successful.
