Am I eligible to be a senior member?

Senior Status is available to members 70 years of age or older. Senior members are entitled to all of the privileges and advantages of active membership in the Association without further payment of dues. However, if a senior member desires to receive the Oklahoma Bar Journal, the senior must pay the annual subscription cost of $25.00.

Who can apply for Senior Membership Status? Any “active member in good standing who is seventy years of age as of the first day of January” of the current dues year, may become a senior member pursuant to 5 O.S. ch. 1, app. 1 art. II §2 (2011 Supp.) Rules Creating and Controlling the Oklahoma Bar Association.

How do I apply for Senior Status? File a statement requesting senior membership and setting forth your month, day and year of birth with the OBA Executive Director.

To request Senior Status, send your request for senior membership along with the month, day and year of your birth to:
