How do I register for a seminar?
For live seminars, you may register online by going clicking here and following the step-by-step instructions. You may register by faxing a registration form to (405) 416-7092 or mailing a registration form to OBA/CLE Registrar, P.O. Box 53036, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73152. If you do not have a registration form from a brochure or Oklahoma Bar Journal ad, you may download one. For webcast, telephone, webinars, or online seminars you may register by going to http://legalspan.com/okbar/. To make arrangements for a video replay seminar contact Renee Montgomery at (405) 416-7029 or reneem@okbar.org.

How early should I register?
To reserve seating and written materials, please register within four full business days in advance of the seminar you plan to attend. Walk-in registrants are welcome but pay a slightly higher tuition. Please call us to ensure seating availability.

Can I cancel a seminar registration?
We know that you're busy! If you're unable to attend a program you've registered for, simply contact Renee Montgomery, CLE assistant registrar, at (405) 416-7029 or email her at reneem@okbar.org, and she'll be happy to transfer your tuition to another OBA/CLE program, or she'll refund your tuition in full, less a $25 fee.

How can I track my registrations?
After you register for a seminar, you will receive a snail mail or email confirming your registration. Does the OBA have your most current information? If not, go to my.okbar.org to update your information. You may also contact Mark Schneidewent, registrar, at (405) 416-7026 or email him at marks@okbar.org, and he'll be happy to confirm your registration or register you.

How many CLE credits was my seminar approved for?
OBA/CLE credits are listed with each seminar description. CLE credit information for OBA/CLE for the two previous years is also available on the Seminar Calendar.

What if I need special accommodations?
If you need special accommodations, please contact Heidi McComb, OBA/CLE assistant to the director, at (405) 416-7027 or email her at heidim@okbar.org, at least two weeks prior to the program date so she can make appropriate arrangements.

What is a telephone seminar?
OBA/CLE telephone seminars are programs broadcast live ("real time"). Audio is delivered over the telephone. Materials and Power Point presentations are delivered via the internet. A telephone program is considered a live program and not an online program for purposes of MCLE credit. After registering for a telephone seminar, registrants receive an email with instructions.

What is a video seminar?
OBA/CLE videotapes many of its live programs. Those videotapes can be replayed for MCLE credit if viewed at the Oklahoma Bar Center or if viewed at the same time and same place with five or more OBA members. Videotapes and materials are shipped nationwide. Arrangements for video replay can be made by contacting Renee Montgomery at (405) reneem@okbar.org.

What is an online program?
OBA/CLE online programs are archived programs. After registering for an online program at http://legalspan.com/okbar/onlinecle.asp, registrants receive an email with a link to the online program. The program does not have to be viewed immediately and is usually available for viewing to the registrant for several weeks. The program includes a video replay and downloadable materials. MCLE rules allow only up to three hours each year for online programs. The OBA/CLE online catalog has hundreds of CLE hours available for viewing, including many OBA/CLE programs and continuing legal education programs from other state bar associations.

What is a webcast seminar?
OBA/CLE webcasts are programs broadcast live ("real time") over the internet. The webcast includes a live video stream of the presenter, downloadable materials, and if used by the presenter, Power Point slides. After registering for a webcast, registrants receive an email with instructions. Registrants may also email questions to the presenter. A webcast program is considered a live program and not an online program for purposes of MCLE credit.

Webinars have a live desktop component that make this form of delivery appropriate for technology training. A webinar is considered a live program and not an online program for purposes of MCLE credit. After registering for a webinar, registrants receive an email with instructions.

How do I buy a book or product?
OBA/CLE publications are available for purchase online or members may also purchase publications by calling Renee Montgomery at (405) 416-7029 or coming to the OBA/CLE at the Oklahoma Bar Center.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Although you should allow two weeks for delivery, most books and supplements are in stock and are sent out within two working days. OBA/CLE ships regular mail, so make sure you have given us the correct street address for delivery.

Can I return or exchange my book purchase?

Will you charge sales tax?
No.

What methods of payment do you accept?
OBA/CLE accepts payments check, cash, OBA/CLE issued credit vouchers, Visa, or MasterCard. All online purchases, seminars and publications, must be by credit card.

How do I know that online ordering is secure?
All credit card transactions are processed through out secure server, which employs state-of-the-art encryption technology to insure transaction privacy.

Are seminars cancelled due to inclement weather?
OBA/CLE has not, at least in the last seven years, cancelled a seminar for inclement weather. In the event a seminar is cancelled, registrants will be emailed about the cancellation and/or an audio message will be left at (405) 416-7006. If the seminar is not cancelled, but a registrant decides that he/she cannot travel safely to the seminar due to the weather one of the following will be allowed: 1) If the seminar was videotaped, arrangements will be made for the registrant to watch the videotaped program; 2) The registrant may transfer the tuition to another OBA/CLE seminar; or 3) The registrant will receive an voucher.
