2004 Art Contest
If
a picture is worth a thousand words, Oklahoma attorneys will have a
chance to speak volumes at the annual OBA
Attorney
Art Show. Whether you paint, draw, take photographs, sculpt, carve
or just about anything else, the OBA is looking for your artwork.
The
art show is part of the OBA Annual Meeting, held Nov. 10-12 at the
Sheraton Hotel (formerly
Westin) in downtown Oklahoma City. Original, attorney-created
works of art in a variety of media will be on display throughout the
meeting.
A
panel of local experts will judge the entries. First, second and
third place designations will be awarded in each category, and the
panel will select an overall “Artist of the Year” from all of
the entries. The attorney named “Artist of the Year” will be
recognized at the annual luncheon on Thursday and will have his or
her artwork displayed at the Oklahoma Bar Center in Oklahoma City
for a year.
Art
Show participants may submit entries in as many categories as they
wish; however there is a limit of two entries per category.
Additionally, all entries must have been completed within the past
five years and cannot have been awarded the top three places in any
prior OBA Attorney Art Show. To participate, just simply register
for the Annual Meeting and fill out the Art
Show Registration Form.
We
look forward to your participation! If you have any questions,
please contact Shawnae Proctor, 2004 Art Show Coordinator, at (405)
235-1700, or e-mail artatty@okbar.org.
